Kingston Peak Raspberry Run
When it rolls around to September the Edge gets a mighty powerful craving for some wild raspberries. The berries were very abundant and our mission was to harvest as many as possible. Not to mention all the awesome wheelin along the way! With temperatures in the 80’s and not a cloud in the sky conditions were so perfect that you couldn’t ask for anything better.
After gathering all the raspberries we could find we decided to exit the trail via Kingston Peak. As we proceeded up the trail we passed the infamous sippie holes… Over the last two years both Super Dave and Scottie had lost their engines to the powerful forces of “Mama Sippie!!” The depth of the standing water was a clear reminder of what happens when you try to create a ten-foot splash at full throttle!!! You unavoidably ingest water…ouch!
The climbs were just as fun as always over the top of Kingston Peak. We had lunch at an altitude normally reserved for aircraft and what a view! We followed Kingston trail down Fall River road towards I-70 wrapping up a picture perfect Raspberry Run!
Guess I’ll have to curb my craving until next year!
